Pet Connection Success Stories

|
You might remember little Bugger who appeared on Pet Connection with his kitten cat friend. At the time, Bugger (now Bug) was sharing a kennel with several kittens and even learned how to use their litter box! Mary saw Bug and fell in love, despite obstacles that weren’t exactly perfect for an adoption (she already had a new puppy at home). But she adopted Bug anyway. Today, everyone is all grown up (Bug is now much bigger than a Bug) and doing well. It’s great to know about this success story and to know that even when circumstances aren’t perfect, it can work…… anyway.
“I’m glad I got him from Pima Animal Care. I feel like I gave him a chance at a good life.” Mary, Bug’s Owner

"I wasn't even a dog person before, but now I have two 75 pound dogs just because I think they're so wonderful."--Paco's New Owner

|
Life couldn't be better for a former "Pet Connection" client. He was Buckeye when he appeared on our show. Once Lori and John adopted him from Arizona Greyhound Rescue, Buckeye became Paco. He's never had a family, but now that he's retired from the track, Paco's settled into some easy living. He even has a new Greyhound friend, Kaya to play with!
Lori and John say possible owners shouldn't be afraid of the fact that Greyhounds are known for their speed, "He's happy just going on walks a few times a week like any dog and he likes to go play in the yard, but really they're pretty lazy animals. There are Greyhound owners who live in condos and apartments and they can make good apartment dogs because they lay around most of the time and they just need to get out their energy once in a while."
Paco, thanks for showing us that "Pet Connection" works!
