Performs manual and automated fingerprint comparisons, processes requests for mandatory and public fingerprinting, researches arrest information, and ensures that accurate arrest information is reported to local, state and federal agencies.
Identifies subjects utilizing the Arizona Automated Fingerprint Identification System.

Classifies fingerprints using the Henry and the National Crime Information Center fingerprint classification systems. Performs known-to-known comparisons from ten print cards and computer-generated candidate lists. Clears arrests within a state-mandated time period, corrects errors, rates the quality of prints and performs quality control on fingerprints. Provides expert testimony in court.

Processes arrest records through local, state and federal databases, and establishes or modifies subjects' criminal histories. Modifies demographics, assigns mug numbers and researches criminal histories. Produces and distributes disposition reports to the appropriate courts within a state-mandated time period. Notifies police investigators and other agencies of a subject's true identity when false information is given.

Processes requests for mandatory and public fingerprinting by determining the reason for fingerprinting, researching prior arrest information, reviewing and distributing paperwork, providing the appropriate forms, collecting fees, checking identification and updating information in the local, state, and federal databases.

Performs related duties by sorting and typing arrest paperwork, providing information to law enforcement and criminal justice personnel, downloading mug photos and providing assistance as needed, maintaining files, processing business applications, processing correspondence and distributing mail, answering and directing telephone calls, balancing cash register, and preparing bank deposits.
